The Role
The successful Science Teacher will teach Science across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach a specialism at KS5 depending on experience. Whether your background is in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics, you will play a key role in delivering an engaging and challenging curriculum that develops students' scientific knowledge and investigative skills.
You will encourage students to think critically, analyse evidence, and apply scientific principles to real-world situations. Practical work is highly valued within the department, and students regularly participate in experiments, investigations, and enrichment activities that bring learning to life.

Key Responsibilities
Teach Science across KS3, KS4, and KS5 where appropriate
Deliver engaging practical and theoretical lessons
Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations
Develop students' investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Assess student progress and provide effective feedback
Maintain excellent laboratory safety standards
Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
Support STEM enrichment activities, clubs, and competitions
Create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment

Candidate Requirements
Essential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Science at secondary level
Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently
Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Commitment to practical and investigative Science
Desirable
Ability to teach a Science specialism at KS5
Experience delivering GCSE and A-Level Science
Experience supporting STEM initiatives and enrichment activities
Strong laboratory and practical Science knowledge
A passion for inspiring future scientists
