Computing Teacher - Experience and Qualifications
A degree in Computer Science, Computing or a related discipline.
QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Experience teaching Computing or Computer Science at secondary level.
Strong knowledge of programming and computational thinking.
Experience teaching across KS3 and KS4.
GCSE Computer Science teaching experience is desirable.
KS5 experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
Excellent classroom management skills.
Ability to differentiate effectively.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Ability to use practical and theoretical approaches within lessons.
Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.
Ability to build positive relationships with students.
Commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and student wellbeing.
ECTs with strong Computing subject knowledge are welcome to apply.
Salary
The salary for this Computing Teacher position will be paid to scale on a permanent contract at MPS1 - UPS3, depending on experience.
