CORE PURPOSE
We are seeking an outstanding, academically rigorous Science Teacher to deliver inspiring instruction across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with specialist post-16 delivery in Key Stage 5. Working within a well-established science faculty, the successful candidate will foster a passion for scientific inquiry, prepare pupils for top-tier university STEM pathways, and lead co-curricular science enrichment across the senior school.

KEY TASKS & DAILY OPERATIONS
Advanced Subject Delivery: Plan and teach engaging practical and theoretical science lessons across KS3, GCSE, and A-Level specifications in your primary discipline (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).
Laboratory Leadership & Safety: Lead safe, practical experiment sessions, ensuring strict adherence to independent school safety protocols, CLEAPSS guidelines, and risk assessments.
Academic Extension & Mentorship: Prepare pupils for national Science Olympiads, stretch high-attaining students targeting Oxbridge/Russell Group STEM courses, and supervise independent research projects.
Assessment & Progress Monitoring: Rigorously track pupil performance through regular practical write-ups, topic tests, and mock examinations, delivering clear, constructive feedback.
Co-Curricular Contribution: Actively participate in the school's vibrant co-curricular program, running STEM clubs, supporting house competitions, and acting as a dedicated Form Tutor.
PROFILE REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: Degree in a Science discipline (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or related STEM field). Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS is welcomed, though outstanding candidates with independent sector experience or strong academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Experience: Proven experience teaching Science across secondary key stages, with demonstrated success preparing pupils for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
Skills: High-level scientific subject knowledge, exemplary laboratory management, strong pastoral awareness, and the ability to stretch academically gifted pupils.
