The successful candidate will deliver high-impact Mathematics instruction across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE Higher and Foundation), with clear opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 A-Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics for a qualified specialist.
Working alongside experienced mathematics educators, you will focus on developing pupils' problem-solving resilience, algebraic fluency, and geometric reasoning. This is a full-time, permanent position ideal for a scholarly and enthusiastic teacher.
Key Responsibilities
Teach high-quality Mathematics lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE)
Plan and deliver lessons that build numerical fluency, multi-step problem solving, and analytical reasoning
Prepare Key Stage 4 students for GCSE examinations through structured assessment, feedback, and targeted revision workshops
Support co-curricular mathematics initiatives, including UKMT Maths Challenge mentoring and problem-solving clubs
Monitor, track, and report on pupil progress using school data systems to ensure every student reaches their potential
Serve as a Form Tutor, delivering holistic pastoral support, academic tracking, and student mentoring
Collaborate with department colleagues to continually refine schemes of work and digital learning platforms

Candidate Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognized UK teaching credentials (PGCE / SCITT)

Deep subject knowledge and the confidence to stretch mathematically ambitious pupils
Excellent classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
