Job Overview
Known for its spacious art studios and vibrant student displays, the school seeks an artist-educator to teach Fine Art, Drawing, Painting, and Printmaking across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 (GCSE), and Key Stage 5 (A-Level Art & Design).
Working alongside experienced art colleagues, you will guide students through project research, technical skill development, contextual studies, and portfolio curation. This is a full-time, permanent role suited to an energetic, creative practitioner.
Key Responsibilities
Teach inspiring Art & Design lessons across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 (GCSE), and Key Stage 5 (A-Level)
Guide Sixth Form pupils through creative portfolio building for university and art foundation course entry
Assist in organizing and hosting annual student art exhibitions and gallery showcases
Maintain studio environments, print presses, ceramics equipment, and art supplies safely
Assess, track, and report on pupil progress, preparing Key Stage 4 and 5 cohorts for non-exam assessments (NEA)
Act as a Form Tutor, supporting student wellbeing, attendance tracking, and academic progress

Candidate Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognized UK teaching credentials (PGCE / SCITT)
Honors degree in Fine Art, Visual Arts, Illustration, or a closely related creative discipline
Strong personal artistic portfolio demonstrating expertise across diverse visual techniques
Proven track record (or clear potential during training) for delivering strong GCSE and A-Level Art outcomes
Excellent studio management and portfolio mentoring skills
