You will work closely with the School Business Manager, senior leaders, teachers, support staff, pupils and parents, acting as an important point of contact for general enquiries and administrative matters.
The successful candidate will be confident handling telephone calls, emails and face-to-face enquiries. You will welcome visitors to the school, ensure appropriate signing-in procedures are followed and make sure safeguarding and visitor processes are adhered to consistently.
You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate pupil records and supporting the administration of admissions, transfers and leavers. The role requires someone who understands the importance of accuracy when dealing with student information and who can handle confidential matters with discretion.
On a typical day, you may be responding to a parent's query, updating the school's management information system, preparing correspondence for a senior leader, arranging a meeting or assisting with an upcoming school event. The ability to move between tasks without losing attention to detail will therefore be essential.

School Administrator - Experience and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous administration experience
Previous school administration experience desirable
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational and time-management abilities

Confident Microsoft Office skills
Experience using a school MIS desirable
Ability to maintain accurate records
Understanding of confidentiality and data protection
Professional and approachable manner
Ability to prioritise competing workloads

Candidates with strong administrative experience from professional office environments will also be considered where they can demonstrate relevant transferable skills.
