A rural comprehensive secondary school in Bury St Edmunds is recruiting a Geography Teacher for a fixed-term 0.8 FTE role.

The post focuses on KS3 and GCSE Geography. You will teach physical and human topics, strengthen students' geographical skills and help pupils use maps, graphs, statistics and fieldwork evidence confidently.

The school is keen to appoint someone who can make the subject relevant to everyday life. Local landscapes, environmental change, urban development and global inequalities provide opportunities to connect classroom learning with the world beyond school.

You should have strong Geography knowledge, sound classroom management and the ability to adapt explanations for different learners. A relevant qualification and examination teaching experience are desirable.
