A community secondary school in Great Yarmouth is recruiting a PE Teacher for a 0.6 FTE fixed-term post.

The successful candidate will teach practical PE across KS3 and contribute to examination PE where appropriate. You will deliver a broad programme including invasion games, athletics, fitness and individual activities, adapting sessions so that students of different abilities can participate successfully.

The school is particularly interested in someone who sees PE as a way to develop resilience, teamwork and healthy habits as well as sporting technique. Experience organising fixtures or extracurricular clubs would be useful.

You should have secure PE subject knowledge, confident behaviour management and a willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues. A relevant qualification and experience of secondary teaching are desirable.

The PE department is well established and places strong emphasis on participation, inclusion and student wellbeing.
