School Administrator | SEN Setting | Croydon & Beckenham
We’re working with an SEN school provision in the Croydon and Beckenham area that is looking to appoint a capable and well-organised School Administration Officer from September 2026.
This is a permanent part-time position offering the chance to become an important part of the school’s support team. You’ll work closely with the Headteacher and wider staff, helping with the administration that sits behind the smooth running of the school.
The role is varied, so it would suit someone who enjoys having a number of different responsibilities and is comfortable picking up new tasks when needed.
What You’ll Be Involved In
The successful candidate will provide administrative support across the school, including:
Supporting the Headteacher with day-to-day administration
Managing and updating pupil records and school databases
Assisting with admissions and related paperwork
Supporting HR administration, including maintaining staff records
Providing assistance with finance administration when required
Preparing letters, documents and general correspondence
Keeping school records accurate and up to date
Responding to queries from staff, parents and other contacts
Helping with the organisation of meetings and school processes
Providing general office support to ensure the school runs smoothly
About You
We’re looking for someone who is organised, approachable and reliable, with the ability to manage a varied workload without losing sight of the detail.
Previous experience in a school or similar setting would be useful. Experience with admissions, HR, finance or pupil data would also be beneficial, although the most important thing is having strong administrative skills and the ability to learn quickly.
You should be confident using IT systems, comfortable handling confidential information and able to communicate professionally with a range of people.
The school operates across two sites in Croydon and Beckenham, so you must be happy to work across both locations.
