Premises Manager
Are you an experienced premises, facilities or site professional who takes pride in maintaining a safe, secure and well-presented environment? A well-established Secondary School in Sheffield is seeking a practical and proactive Premises Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day management and maintenance of its school site.
This is a significant operational position within the school. You will oversee the condition and functionality of buildings, grounds, facilities and equipment while working closely with senior leaders, contractors and members of the wider support team.
The successful candidate will need to be practical, organised and confident managing competing priorities. You will be responsible for ensuring that routine maintenance is completed, issues are identified and addressed promptly and the site remains suitable for students, staff and visitors throughout the school year.
The position will combine hands-on responsibilities with coordination and oversight. While you will need to be comfortable carrying out minor maintenance tasks yourself, you will also coordinate contractors and specialist suppliers when work requires external expertise.
You will be expected to maintain appropriate records, monitor planned maintenance and ensure that health and safety responsibilities are taken seriously.
The school is looking for someone who understands that effective premises management is about much more than repairing things when they break. Preventative maintenance, careful planning, security, cleanliness, compliance and communication will all form part of your responsibilities.
