We’re currently working with a well-established secondary school in Sheffield that is looking to appoint an experienced Data Manager to join its wider support team.

This is a hands-on role with responsibility for the school’s core data systems and processes. You’ll work closely with senior leaders and teaching staff, making sure information is accurate and available when it’s needed across the academic year.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

The role covers a broad range of school data, including:

• Managing and maintaining the school’s MIS

• Keeping student records accurate and up to date

• Coordinating assessment and reporting cycles

• Producing reports and information for senior leaders

• Managing data collection deadlines

• Supporting examination and curriculum data

• Assisting with timetable and option information

• Preparing statutory returns and census submissions

• Responding to data queries from staff

• Checking records and resolving any inconsistencies

• Reviewing and improving data processes where appropriate

• Supporting staff with the use of school systems

• Maintaining confidentiality when dealing with student information

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with school data, preferably within a secondary school.

You’ll need to be confident using Excel and an MIS such as SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom or a similar system, as well as being comfortable working with large amounts of information.

Good organisation and attention to detail are essential. You’ll also need to be able to manage your own workload, meet deadlines and communicate effectively with teachers, support staff and senior leaders.
