The Role

The successful candidate will:

• Teach Health and Social Care across relevant Key Stages.

• Plan and deliver engaging, practical and academically challenging lessons.

• Inspire students to develop their understanding of health, wellbeing, development and care.

• Support students of all abilities through inclusive and differentiated teaching.

• Prepare students effectively for relevant examinations and coursework.

• Develop students' analytical, research and communication skills.

• Monitor student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.

• Contribute to schemes of work, curriculum development and departmental resources.

• Support enrichment activities and the wider life of the school.

• Contribute to the pastoral life of the school, including form tutoring where required.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a candidate who:

• Holds or is working towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

• Has a degree in Health and Social Care, Psychology, Sociology, Education or a related subject.

• Has strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Health and Social Care.

• Is enthusiastic about developing their teaching practice as an Early Career Teacher.

• Has high expectations for student achievement, behaviour and personal development.

• Is reflective, organised and committed to continuous professional development.

• Works effectively as part of a collaborative and supportive team.
