The Role

The Ideal Candidate

The successful Geography Teacher will have:

• A degree in Geography or a closely related subject

• QTS or a recognised teaching qualification such as a PGCE

• Strong knowledge of physical and human Geography

• Experience teaching Geography within a school environment

• The ability to deliver engaging, challenging and creative lessons

• Strong communication, organisation and ICT skills

• The ability to inspire pupils to become curious and independent learners

• A passion for contemporary geographical issues and the world around us

• The confidence to support pupils of different abilities and backgrounds

• A willingness to contribute to trips, fieldwork and the wider life of the school

• The legal right to work in the UK
