Job Overview

This welcoming school boasts a modern drama studio and performance theater space. The successful applicant will teach engaging practical and theoretical Drama lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE / Vocational Performing Arts), with potential Key Stage 5 A-Level teaching for a suitably qualified candidate.

Working closely with the Expressive Arts team, you will guide pupils through acting techniques, script analysis, devizing, and stage production skills. This is a full-time, permanent role suited to an energetic, creative, and proactive educator.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach inspiring Drama and Performing Arts lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE/Vocational)

• Direct and resource practical workshops focusing on vocal projection, physical theater, improvisational skills, and text analysis

• Co-direct annual whole-school musical productions, showcase evenings, and regional drama festivals

• Manage studio lighting, sound systems, props, and costume resources in coordination with technical staff

• Track and evaluate pupil progress across practical performances and written coursework components

• Serve as a Form Tutor, contributing to the pastoral care and overall development of your assigned year group

• Organize theater trips and external workshops with professional arts companies to enrich the curriculum

• Support the day-to-day operations and growth of the Expressive Arts department

Candidate Requirements
