Job Overview
Central to the school's career-focused vision, this role involves teaching Business Studies and Economics across Key Stage 4 (GCSE/BTEC) and Key Stage 5 (A-Level / BTEC Nationals). You will connect academic economic models and corporate strategy with real-world financial markets.
Collaborating with a dedicated enterprise team, you will combine academic theory with practical business case studies to prepare students for higher education and modern corporate environments. This is a full-time, permanent role suited to an organized, commercially aware practitioner.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality GCSE/BTEC and A-Level units in Business Studies and Economics
Foster financial literacy, quantitative data interpretation, market analysis, and strategic business evaluation
Lead enterprise initiatives, such as Young Enterprise teams, Student Investor challenges, and stock market simulation clubs
Track pupil progress using data-driven intervention to target high GCSE, BTEC, and A-Level examination outcomes
Build links with local business networks to facilitate corporate workplace visits and guest speaker sessions
Serve as a Form Tutor and contribute to the school's extra-curricular and pastoral framework
Utilize digital business simulation suites to enhance interactive, case-study-based classroom learning
Support the ongoing administrative and strategic development of the Business & Economics department

Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will feature:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognized UK teaching credentials (PGCE / SCITT)

Strong capability in managing practical coursework portfolios and quantitative examination preparations
