Job Overview
With state-of-the-art IT suites and digital resources, this school places digital literacy and computational thinking at the heart of its curriculum. You will deliver engaging Computer Science instruction across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 (GCSE), and Key Stage 5 (A-Level).
Working closely with the Computing faculty, you will design and deliver a dynamic curriculum covering algorithm design, Python programming, software development, and computer architecture. This is a full-time, permanent role suited to an innovative, highly organized, and proactive educator.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-impact lessons covering algorithm design, Python programming, object-oriented principles, and computer architecture
Prepare Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 students for rigorous GCSE and A-Level examinations, ensuring strong technical understanding and exam technique
Lead departmental enrichment initiatives, such as coding clubs, robotics teams, hackathons, and cybersecurity challenges
Collaborate with faculty to develop cutting-edge digital learning resources, automated code-checking tools, and scheme-of-work modules
Track, assess, and report on student progress, delivering targeted intervention strategies to maximize pupil attainment
Maintain hardware, software environments, and network safety tools in close coordination with IT network technicians
Fulfill pastoral responsibilities as a Form Tutor within the school's established care system
Support the day-to-day operations and strategic growth of the Computing department
