Role Overview
As a specialist Business Studies Supply Teacher, you will step into pre-planned Business, Enterprise, and Economics lessons across various secondary settings in Dorset. Schools value subject specialists who can guide students through commercial case studies, financial calculations, market analysis, and coursework tasks while maintaining focused classroom engagement.
This position offers complete flexibility: choose to work anywhere from 1 to 5 days per week with zero lesson planning, marking, or parents' evening commitments.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver pre-set Business Studies lessons across Key Stage 4 (GCSE / BTEC Tech Awards) and Key Stage 5 (A-Level / BTEC Nationals)
Guide pupils through core topics including marketing, finance, human resources, business operations, and enterprise
Assist students with ICT-based coursework, financial calculations, and business simulation tasks in computer suites
Maintain strong classroom management and a professional, business-like learning environment
Complete electronic attendance registers accurately at the start of each period
Leave structured written feedback and handover notes for returning departmental staff
