Job Overview
With enterprise education central to the school's vision, this role involves delivering high-quality Business Studies across Key Stage 4 (GCSE/BTEC) and Key Stage 5 (A-Level / Applied General qualifications). The successful candidate will teach core business concepts, including marketing, operational management, human resources, finance, and corporate strategy.
Collaborating with a dedicated enterprise team, you will combine academic theory with real-world case studies to prepare students for higher education and modern business environments. This is a full-time, permanent role suited to an organized, commercially aware practitioner.
Key Responsibilities
Teach high-quality Business Studies lessons across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 (GCSE, A-Level, BTEC Tech Award/National)
Design structured learning activities that cover business structure, financial decision-making, and market trends
Monitor, track, and assess pupil work to ensure strong coursework and exam outcomes
Lead enterprise initiatives, such as Student Investor challenges, mock business pitches, and Young Enterprise schemes
Maintain strong relationships with local business partners to arrange guest speaker sessions and workplace visits
Serve as a Form Tutor, contributing to the pastoral care, tracking, and wellbeing of your assigned cohort
Utilize digital business simulation tools to enhance interactive learning in the classroom
Support the ongoing administrative and strategic development of the Business department

Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will feature:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognized UK teaching credentials (PGCE / SCITT)
An honors degree in Business Management, Enterprise, Finance, or a related commercial subject
Demonstrated experience (or strong training records) in delivering GCSE and BTEC/A-Level Business courses
Strong capability in managing practical coursework portfolios and exam preparations
Excellent classroom presence, communication skills, and organizational capabilities
