Job Overview

The successful candidate will play a central role in guiding students through concept development, technical execution, and portfolio curation.
Working closely with the Art department, you will deliver a rich curriculum that combines traditional techniques with modern visual media. This is a full-time, permanent role suited to an innovative, creative, and proactive educator.
Key Responsibilities
Teach high-quality Art & Design lessons across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 (GCSE), and Key Stage 5 (A-Level)
Plan, resource, and execute engaging practical units covering drawing, painting, 3D design, printmaking, and digital media
Guide Sixth Form students through portfolio preparation for entry into top art foundation programs and university creative degrees
Organize, curate, and host annual end-of-year art exhibitions and gallery showcases
Maintain high standards of health and safety in art studios, managing materials, equipment, and hazardous chemicals safely
Serve as a Form Tutor, contributing to the pastoral care and wellbeing of your assigned year group
Collaborate with departmental colleagues to refine schemes of work and art history contextual resources
Support the smooth day-to-day running of the Art & Design department
