Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership, management, and curriculum design for the Physical Education department across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
Line manage, mentor, and evaluate PE department staff to maintain high standards of teaching and learning
Oversee the delivery of theoretical options including GCSE PE and BTEC/Vocational Sport qualifications to secure outstanding exam outcomes
Expand and coordinate an extensive extra-curricular sports program, including lunchtime clubs, after-school practices, and inter-school fixtures
Maintain rigorous health, safety, and risk assessment protocols across all indoor and outdoor sports facilities
Manage the departmental budget, equipment inventory, and resource allocation effectively
Perform Form Tutor duties, driving the holistic tracking and wellbeing of your student cohort
Shape whole-school health, fitness, and wellbeing initiatives to maximize pupil participation across all ability levels

Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will feature:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognized UK teaching credentials (PGCE / SCITT)

A proven track record of outstanding PE delivery across KS3/KS4, alongside strong GCSE PE theoretical results
Demonstrated leadership experience (e.g., 2i/c, Key Stage Coordinator, or existing Head of Department)
