About the Role
As the school's Receptionist, you will manage the main reception area and act as the first point of contact for everyone arriving at the school. The role will also involve managing deliveries and post, assisting with pupil-related enquiries, supporting attendance administration, and helping staff with general office tasks. Key Responsibilities
Manage the school's reception area and provide a professional welcome
Answer telephone calls and respond to general enquiries
Greet and sign in visitors in accordance with safeguarding procedures
Maintain accurate visitor and reception records
Deal professionally with parents, pupils, staff, and external visitors
Manage incoming and outgoing post and deliveries
Support general administrative and office duties
Assist with attendance and pupil administration when required
Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information
Ensure the reception area remains organised and welcoming

Essential Requirements
Previous experience in reception, administration, customer service, or a similar role
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational and time-management abilities
Confident using Microsoft Office and computer-based systems

Excellent attention to detail
Ability to remain calm and organised in a busy environment
Desirable
Previous experience within a school or educational setting
Knowledge of school management information systems
Understanding of safeguarding and data protection procedures
Experience dealing with parents, pupils, and external professionals
