A welcoming primary school in Oxford is looking to appoint a reliable and proactive Caretaker to help maintain a safe, clean and well-presented environment for our pupils, staff and visitors.
This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll play an important part in the day-to-day life of the school, helping to ensure the site is secure, well maintained and ready to support learning every day.
The Role
As Caretaker, you will:
Carry out general maintenance and minor repairs across the school.
Open and lock the school buildings and ensure site security.
Complete routine health and safety checks.
Prepare classrooms and shared spaces for school activities and events.
Monitor the condition of the buildings and report or coordinate repairs.
Work with contractors and support the upkeep of the school grounds.
Help ensure the school remains a safe, welcoming environment for everyone.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
Has experience in caretaking, maintenance or a similar role.
Is practical, organised and able to work independently.
Has a good understanding of health and safety.
Takes pride in maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Enjoys being part of a friendly school community.
Has the legal right to work in the UK.
