Strong attendance creates strong outcomes. An Outstanding secondary school in Leighton Buzzard is seeking an enthusiastic Attendance Officer to join its pastoral support team on a full-time, permanent basis from September 2026.

As Attendance Officer, you'll work closely with students, parents and school leaders to encourage excellent attendance, identify barriers to learning and ensure every student is supported to achieve their full potential.

How You'll Make an Impact
Working across the school, you'll help drive attendance improvements while ensuring attendance systems remain accurate and compliant.
Your responsibilities will include:
Monitoring daily attendance and punctuality across all year groups
Following up on absences with parents and carers
Producing attendance reports and identifying trends for senior leaders
Supporting attendance meetings and intervention strategies
Maintaining accurate attendance records using the school's MIS
Working alongside pastoral, safeguarding and SEND teams to support students
Liaising with external agencies where additional support is required

What You'll Bring
