The Role
As Attendance Officer, you'll oversee the school's attendance procedures, ensuring accurate records are maintained while supporting students to achieve excellent attendance.
Responsibilities include:
Monitoring daily attendance and investigating unexplained absences
Contacting parents and carers regarding attendance concerns
Producing attendance reports and analysing attendance trends
Supporting attendance panels and intervention meetings
Maintaining accurate records using the school's Management Information System
Working alongside Heads of Year, safeguarding staff and external agencies
Promoting excellent attendance through proactive initiatives and support

About You
The school is looking for a highly organised and approachable individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
Previous experience in attendance, pastoral support, education or school administration would be advantageous, although candidates with strong administrative or customer service experience are also encouraged to apply.
