The Role
As Attendance Officer, you'll take ownership of the school's attendance processes while working proactively to improve student attendance and punctuality.
Your responsibilities will include:
Monitoring daily attendance and investigating unexplained absences
Working closely with students, parents and carers to improve attendance
Producing attendance reports and analysing attendance trends
Supporting attendance panels and intervention meetings
Maintaining accurate records using the school's Management Information System
Liaising with external agencies where additional support is required
Ensuring attendance procedures remain compliant with statutory guidance

About You
The successful candidate will have excellent organisational and communication skills, along with the confidence to build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues.
Previous experience within attendance, school administration, pastoral support or a similar role would be advantageous, although applications are welcomed from candidates with strong administrative or customer-facing experience who are looking to move into education.
