Working alongside the School Business Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring the school's financial operations run smoothly while helping to deliver the best possible environment for pupils and staff.
The Role
As Finance Officer, you'll support the day-to-day financial management of the school, ensuring accuracy, compliance and efficient financial processes.
Responsibilities include:
Processing invoices, purchase orders and supplier payments
Monitoring budgets and reconciling financial records
Assisting with monthly management accounts and financial reporting
Managing income from trips, lettings and parental payments
Supporting payroll administration and pension submissions
Maintaining accurate financial records and audit documentation
Working closely with the School Business Manager on budget planning and forecasting

About You
The successful candidate will have previous experience within a finance or accounting role and be confident managing multiple financial processes simultaneously.
Experience within a school or academy would be advantageous, although candidates with finance experience gained in commercial, public sector or charity organisations are encouraged to apply. Strong Excel skills, excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach are essential.
Salary & Benefits
£35,000 – £42,000 per annum
