Looking for a role where attention to detail and strategic oversight make a real impact? A highly respected Independent School in Wimbledon is seeking a Compliance & Governance Manager to join its senior support team on a full-time, permanent basis from October Half Term 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring the school operates to the highest standards of governance, compliance and regulatory excellence. Working closely with the Head, Bursar and Governors, you'll help safeguard the school's reputation while supporting continuous improvement across a range of operational and statutory responsibilities.
The Opportunity
This varied role will see you leading compliance and governance across the school while supporting senior leaders with strategic planning and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing the school's governance processes and supporting the Governing Body
Ensuring compliance with Independent School Standards and statutory guidance
Overseeing policy reviews and maintaining accurate compliance records
Coordinating regulatory inspections and external audits
Monitoring safeguarding, health & safety and data protection compliance
Maintaining the school's risk register and supporting risk management
Advising senior leaders on governance and compliance best practice

What You'll Bring
The successful candidate will have previous experience in governance, compliance, operations or senior administration, alongside a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and excellent organisational skills.
Experience within an independent school, academy trust or similar regulated environment would be advantageous, although candidates with transferable compliance experience from other sectors are encouraged to apply.
Salary & Benefits
£48,000 – £58,000 per annum
