Site Manager | Thriving Primary School | Bath
An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Site Manager to join a thriving Primary School in Bath on a full-time, permanent basis from September 2026.
The school is seeking a motivated and hands-on professional to take responsibility for the day-to-day management of its site and facilities. Working closely with the Headteacher and School Business Manager, you'll ensure the school remains safe, secure and maintained to an exceptional standard, helping to create an environment where pupils can flourish.
This is a varied role that combines practical maintenance with operational oversight, making it ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, managing contractors and taking ownership of a busy school site.
The Role
As Site Manager, you'll lead the smooth running of the school's premises while ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.
Responsibilities include:
Managing the daily operation, security and maintenance of the school site
Carrying out routine maintenance and coordinating larger repair projects
Supervising contractors and monitoring the quality of completed works
Managing planned preventative maintenance schedules
Ensuring compliance with health and safety, fire safety and statutory regulations
Maintaining the school's grounds and outdoor learning spaces
Preparing the site for school events, assemblies and community activities
Supporting emergency maintenance and responding promptly to site issues

The Successful Candidate

Previous experience working within a school or similar public-sector environment would be beneficial, although candidates from other facilities management backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.
Salary & Benefits
£33,000 – £40,000 per annum
