About the Role

Key Responsibilities
Monitor daily attendance and punctuality records
Follow up student absences and communicate with parents and carers
Identify attendance concerns and support intervention plans
Maintain accurate records using school management systems
Prepare attendance reports for senior leaders
Work closely with pastoral and safeguarding teams
Support attendance meetings and parental engagement activities
Promote a positive culture of regular attendance across the school

Candidate Requirements
Essential Requirements
Previous experience in an attendance, administration, pastoral, or support role
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information
Confidence communicating with parents, carers, and external professionals
Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
Desirable
Experience working within a school or educational environment
Knowledge of school attendance procedures and safeguarding processes
Experience using SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom, or similar systems
Understanding of strategies to support student engagement
