CORE PURPOSE
We are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic Science Teacher to deliver outstanding science instruction across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the potential to teach your specialist discipline (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics) at Key Stage 5. The successful candidate will cultivate scientific curiosity, practical investigation skills, and academic rigor, inspiring pupils of all backgrounds to achieve excellence.

KEY TASKS & DAILY OPERATIONS
Curriculum Delivery: Plan and teach high-leverage Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (Combined and Triple Science), adapting instruction to support and challenge all learners.
Practical & Laboratory Safety: Lead safe, engaging practical experiments and investigations in accordance with CLEAPSS guidelines and departmental health and safety procedures.
Examination Preparation: Prepare students for GCSE examinations by embedding retrieval practice, scientific inquiry skills, and targeted exam technique.
Departmental Collaboration: Contribute to shared schemes of learning, standardized assessment moderation, and extracurricular STEM initiatives or science clubs.
Pastoral Responsibilities: Serve as a dedicated Form Tutor, overseeing daily registration, supporting pupil well-being, and maintaining positive communication with parents and carers.
PROFILE REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS, alongside a degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a closely related scientific field.
Experience: Open to experienced teachers with a strong track record of pupil progress, as well as Early Career Teachers (ECTs) seeking a supportive induction environment.
Skills: Excellent subject knowledge across general science, strong classroom management, clear communication, and a passion for practical, inquiry-based learning.
