About the Role
The successful candidate will teach Science across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging lessons that inspire curiosity and develop students' understanding of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
You will create a stimulating learning environment where students are encouraged to question, investigate, and apply scientific knowledge to real-world contexts. The department offers a broad curriculum supported by STEM clubs, educational visits, competitions, and enrichment activities that encourage students to develop a genuine passion for Science.

Key Responsibilities
Teach Science across KS3, KS4, and KS5
Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons
Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations
Assess progress and provide meaningful feedback
Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
Support STEM enrichment activities and educational visits
Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment

Candidate Requirements
Essential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Science at secondary level
Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently
Strong subject knowledge across the Science curriculum
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Desirable
Ability to teach a Science specialism at A-Level
Experience delivering strong GCSE and A-Level outcomes
Commitment to STEM enrichment and extracurricular activities
A passion for inspiring the next generation of scientists
