The Opportunity
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Design Technology Teacher specialising in Resistant Materials to join a thriving independent school in Richmond this January.

The Design Technology department is well-resourced, collaborative and ambitious for its students. The successful candidate will have a strong specialism in Resistant Materials, with the ability to inspire students through creative, practical and innovative teaching. The role will involve:
Teaching Design Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a particular focus on Resistant Materials (and the potential to teach Key Stage 5 where appropriate).
Contributing to a supportive and forward-thinking Design Technology department.
Encouraging creativity, problem-solving, technical skills and confidence in students.
Maintaining a safe, organised and engaging workshop environment in line with health and safety requirements.
Taking an active role in the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities and co-curricular opportunities.
We are looking for someone who:
Is passionate about Design Technology and has a specialist background in Resistant Materials.
Can inspire students through practical, engaging and creative lessons.
Builds positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents.
Has high expectations, excellent classroom management and a calm, consistent approach.
Is keen to contribute to the wider school community beyond the classroom.
