A successful secondary school in Birmingham is seeking an experienced School Business Manager to join its leadership team on a full-time, permanent basis from September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key strategic role in the management of a busy and ambitious school. Working closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team, you'll oversee the school's business operations, ensuring financial stability, operational excellence, and an outstanding environment for students and staff.
The Role
As School Business Manager, you'll lead the school's non-teaching operations while contributing to its long-term strategic vision.
Responsibilities include:
Leading financial planning, budgeting, and monitoring
Managing HR, recruitment, and personnel processes
Overseeing premises, facilities, and health & safety
Managing contracts, procurement, and external suppliers
Supporting compliance, governance, and statutory requirements
Leading support staff and administrative teams
Advising senior leaders on operational strategy

The Successful Candidate
