HR Manager | Lead People & Culture at an Outstanding School | Enfield
A high-performing secondary school in Enfield is seeking an experienced HR Manager to join its senior leadership support team on a full-time, permanent basis from September 2026.

You'll work closely with the Headteacher, School Business Manager, and Senior Leadership Team, helping to shape a positive workplace culture while delivering a first-class HR service across the school.
The Role
As HR Manager, you'll lead both the operational and strategic HR functions, ensuring staff are supported throughout the employee lifecycle while maintaining full compliance with employment legislation and safer recruitment requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading recruitment campaigns and overseeing all safer recruitment processes
Providing expert advice on employee relations, absence management, disciplinary, grievance, and capability matters
Managing HR policies, procedures, and ensuring compliance with current employment legislation
Overseeing contracts, personnel files, payroll amendments, and HR systems
Producing workforce reports to support strategic planning and decision-making
Working with senior leaders to improve staff engagement, wellbeing, and retention
Identifying opportunities to enhance HR processes and introduce best practice across the school
Supporting organisational change and workforce planning initiatives

The Successful Candidate
Applications are welcomed from experienced HR Managers, HR Business Partners, Senior HR Advisors, or experienced HR professionals ready to step into a strategic leadership position within education.
You'll have extensive knowledge of UK employment law, excellent communication skills, and experience managing complex HR casework with confidence and professionalism. A proactive approach, commercial awareness, and the ability to build strong relationships across the organisation are essential.
