HR Manager | Lead HR at a High-Achieving Secondary School | Camden
A highly regarded secondary school in Camden is looking to appoint an experienced HR Manager to join its leadership support team on a full-time, permanent basis from September 2026.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious HR professional to make a real impact within a successful school that places its people at the heart of everything it does. Working closely with the Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team, and School Business Manager, you'll lead all aspects of Human Resources, helping to attract, develop, and retain exceptional staff while fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
The Role
As HR Manager, you'll oversee the school's HR function, ensuring all people processes are delivered efficiently, professionally, and in line with current employment legislation.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading recruitment campaigns and overseeing safer recruitment processes
Providing expert advice on employee relations, performance management, and absence management
Managing disciplinary, grievance, and capability procedures where required
Reviewing and developing HR policies and procedures
Overseeing contracts, personnel records, and HR compliance
Producing workforce reports and supporting strategic staffing decisions
Working with leaders to improve staff wellbeing, engagement, and retention
Managing HR systems and ensuring GDPR compliance across employee records

The Successful Candidate
Applications are welcomed from experienced HR Managers, HR Business Partners, Senior HR Advisors, or experienced HR professionals looking to progress into a strategic leadership position within education.
You'll have a strong understanding of employment law, excellent communication and organisational skills, and experience managing complex HR casework. You'll enjoy building positive relationships and supporting leaders to make informed people decisions.
