About the Role

The successful candidate will teach French across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging and challenging lessons that develop students' speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.

You will inspire students to develop a genuine appreciation for French language and culture while preparing them for GCSE and A-Level examinations. The department offers a broad curriculum supported by language clubs, cultural enrichment opportunities, educational visits, and exchange programmes where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach French across KS3, KS4, and KS5

Candidate Requirements

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching French at secondary level

• Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently

• Excellent subject knowledge and communication skills

• Passion for delivering engaging language lessons

Desirable

• Ability to teach French at A-Level

• Ability to teach an additional language such as Spanish

• Experience leading language enrichment activities

• A proven track record of delivering excellent student outcomes
