A thriving primary school in Birmingham is looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to join its dedicated team on a full-time, permanent basis with an ASAP start.

You'll play a vital role in ensuring the premises are safe, secure, and well maintained, creating an environment where pupils and staff can thrive every day. The Role
Working closely with the Headteacher and School Business Manager, you'll oversee the day-to-day management of the school's buildings and grounds while ensuring all statutory compliance requirements are met.
Your responsibilities will include:
Opening and securing the school each day
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and minor repairs
Managing contractors and overseeing maintenance projects
Completing statutory Health & Safety, fire safety, asbestos, and legionella compliance checks
Maintaining accurate premises and compliance records
Ensuring the school grounds, playgrounds, and outdoor areas are safe and well presented
Preparing the site for assemblies, events, and school functions
Identifying opportunities to improve the school environment and supporting future site development

The leadership team values every member of staff and recognises the important role the Site Manager plays in the smooth running of the school.
The Successful Candidate
Applications are welcomed from experienced Site Managers, Premises Managers, Caretakers, Facilities Officers, Estates Assistants, or candidates with transferable experience in facilities or building maintenance.
The successful candidate will have strong practical maintenance skills, excellent organisational abilities, and a sound understanding of Health & Safety legislation. You'll be able to work independently, prioritise tasks effectively, and build positive working relationships with staff, contractors, and external agencies.
