A thriving Outstanding primary academy in Birmingham is looking to appoint a Site Manager on a full-time, permanent basis with an ASAP start.

The Role

You'll take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the school site, ensuring the premises are safe, compliant, and presented to a high standard.

Key responsibilities include:

• Opening and securing the school each day

• Carrying out routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections

• Managing contractors and overseeing site projects

• Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, fire safety, asbestos, and legionella regulations

• Completing statutory checks and maintaining accurate compliance records

• Preparing classrooms, halls, and outdoor spaces for school events and activities

• Monitoring the condition of the building, grounds, and play equipment

• Supporting the leadership team with premises planning and improvement projects

The Successful Candidate

The successful candidate will have previous experience as a Site Manager, Caretaker, Facilities Manager, Estates Officer, Premises Manager, or in a similar maintenance or facilities role.

You'll have practical maintenance skills, a good understanding of Health & Safety legislation, and the ability to manage contractors while maintaining high standards across the school site. An organised, proactive approach and the ability to work independently are essential.
