A thriving Outstanding primary academy in Birmingham is looking to appoint a Site Manager on a full-time, permanent basis with an ASAP start.

As Site Manager, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the school remains safe, secure, and well maintained, helping to create an environment where pupils and staff can thrive every day.
The Role
You'll take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the school site, ensuring the premises are safe, compliant, and presented to a high standard.
Key responsibilities include:
Opening and securing the school each day
Carrying out routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections
Managing contractors and overseeing site projects
Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, fire safety, asbestos, and legionella regulations
Completing statutory checks and maintaining accurate compliance records
Preparing classrooms, halls, and outdoor spaces for school events and activities
Monitoring the condition of the building, grounds, and play equipment
Supporting the leadership team with premises planning and improvement projects

The Successful Candidate
The successful candidate will have previous experience as a Site Manager, Caretaker, Facilities Manager, Estates Officer, Premises Manager, or in a similar maintenance or facilities role.
You'll have practical maintenance skills, a good understanding of Health & Safety legislation, and the ability to manage contractors while maintaining high standards across the school site. An organised, proactive approach and the ability to work independently are essential.
