A friendly and well-established primary school in Enfield is looking to appoint an experienced Office Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of its busy school office.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, approachable and proactive administrator who enjoys working in a varied role. As the first point of contact for parents, visitors and staff, you'll play a vital part in ensuring the school operates efficiently while providing a warm and professional service to the whole school community.
What you'll be doing
You'll work closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team to ensure the administrative functions of the school run smoothly. Responsibilities include:
Leading the day-to-day management of the school office and supervising administrative staff.
Managing pupil and staff records using the school's Management Information System (MIS).
Coordinating admissions, attendance and general school administration.
Supporting finance processes, including purchase orders, invoices and budget administration.
Preparing correspondence, newsletters and communications for parents and staff.
Liaising with external agencies, suppliers and contractors.
Ensuring compliance with GDPR, safeguarding procedures and school policies.
Supporting the organisation of school events, meetings and inspections.
What we're looking for
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience in an Office Manager or senior administrative role, ideally within a school.
Experience using school MIS software such as Arbor, SIMS, Bromcom or similar.
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
A friendly, professional approach with excellent communication skills.
The ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
A proactive attitude and a willingness to support the wider life of the school.
