An established independent co-educational school in Birmingham is looking to appoint a Behaviour Manager on a full-time, temporary basis from October Half Term 2026.

You'll work closely with teaching staff and senior leaders to ensure pupils remain engaged, supported, and able to flourish throughout their school journey.

The Role

You'll take responsibility for supporting students whose behaviour or pastoral needs require additional intervention, helping to create a positive learning environment where every pupil can succeed.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing day-to-day behaviour support across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5

• Working with students to develop personalised behaviour improvement plans

• Supporting teachers with behaviour management strategies and classroom interventions

• Meeting with parents and carers to discuss progress and agree support plans

• Coordinating restorative practice following behavioural incidents

• Monitoring behaviour, attendance and punctuality data to identify emerging concerns

• Liaising with safeguarding staff and external professionals where appropriate

The Successful Candidate

The school welcomes applications from candidates with previous experience as a Behaviour Manager, Pastoral Manager, Behaviour Mentor, Inclusion Officer, Student Support Officer, Youth Worker, or similar role within a secondary school.

You'll be a confident communicator with the ability to build positive relationships, remain calm under pressure, and support young people in making lasting improvements to their behaviour and engagement.
