Behaviour Manager | Outstanding 11–18 Academy | Birmingham
An ambitious Outstanding 11–18 academy in Birmingham is seeking a Behaviour Manager to join its established pastoral team from September 2026 on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maintaining the school's high expectations for behaviour, attendance, and student conduct. Working across Key Stages 3, 4 and the Sixth Form, you'll support students to overcome barriers to learning while helping to foster a calm, respectful, and inclusive school environment.
The Role
As Behaviour Manager, you'll work alongside senior leaders, Heads of Year, and safeguarding staff to ensure students receive the support and guidance they need to thrive both academically and personally.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading behaviour interventions for students requiring additional support
Monitoring behaviour, punctuality, and attendance, identifying trends and implementing strategies for improvement
Working closely with Heads of Year to promote positive behaviour across the school
Supporting restorative conversations and reintegration following suspensions
Building positive relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies
Maintaining accurate behaviour records using the school's management information system
Contributing to safeguarding and student wellbeing initiatives

The Successful Candidate
Applications are welcomed from experienced Behaviour Managers, Behaviour Mentors, Pastoral Managers, Inclusion Officers, Student Support Officers, or professionals with relevant secondary school experience.
The successful candidate will be confident working with young people, able to de-escalate challenging situations, and committed to promoting positive behaviour through consistency, empathy, and clear expectations.
