Behaviour Manager | Independent Secondary School | Birmingham
A respected independent secondary school in Birmingham is seeking a Behaviour Manager to join its pastoral team from October Half Term 2026 on a full-time, temporary basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced behaviour or pastoral professional who enjoys building positive relationships with young people and helping them overcome barriers to learning. You'll work closely with students, staff, and families to promote high standards of behaviour and support a positive school culture.
The Role
As Behaviour Manager, you'll play a central role in supporting students both inside and outside the classroom, helping to create an environment where every pupil can succeed.
Responsibilities include:
Supporting students with behaviour, attendance, and engagement
Delivering targeted interventions for pupils requiring additional support
Working alongside Heads of Year and the Senior Leadership Team
Meeting with parents to discuss behaviour strategies and progress
Monitoring behaviour records and identifying trends
Promoting restorative approaches to behaviour management
Supporting the school's behaviour policy and pastoral systems

The Successful Candidate
The successful candidate will have previous experience in a Behaviour Manager, Behaviour Mentor, Pastoral Manager, Inclusion, Student Support, or Safeguarding role within a secondary school.
You'll be calm, approachable, and confident managing challenging situations while building positive relationships with students from a range of backgrounds.
