Behaviour Manager | Outstanding Secondary School | Birmingham
An Outstanding secondary school in Birmingham is looking to appoint a Behaviour Manager from September 2026 on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced pastoral or behaviour professional who is passionate about helping young people succeed. You'll play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, supporting students to overcome barriers to learning, and working closely with staff and families to create a calm and purposeful school environment.
The Role
Working alongside the pastoral team, you'll take responsibility for supporting behaviour across the school, ensuring students receive the guidance and intervention they need to thrive.
Key responsibilities include:
Promoting high standards of behaviour across the school
Providing targeted support for students requiring additional intervention
Working closely with Heads of Year and senior leaders
Building positive relationships with parents and external agencies
Monitoring behaviour data and contributing to intervention strategies
Supporting restorative conversations and behaviour plans

The Successful Candidate
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a pastoral, behaviour, safeguarding, or student support role within education.
You'll be a confident communicator with excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to remain calm, fair, and consistent when supporting students with a range of behavioural needs.

Salary & Benefits
£31,000–£37,000 per annum (depending on experience)
