Site Manager | High-Achieving Secondary School | Guildford
A respected secondary school in Guildford is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join the team from September 2026.
This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for a proactive and hands-on professional who enjoys managing a busy school site and ensuring pupils and staff have a safe, well-maintained environment in which to learn and work.
The Role
As Site Manager, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the school's buildings and grounds, ensuring the site is secure, compliant, and maintained to a high standard.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing the day-to-day operation of the school premises
Carrying out planned maintenance and minor repairs
Supervising premises and cleaning staff
Coordinating contractors and overseeing maintenance projects
Ensuring health and safety compliance across the site
Opening and securing the school buildings
Managing site security and responding to maintenance requests
Supporting school events and lettings when required

The Successful Candidate
The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Site Manager, Premises Manager, Facilities Manager, Estates Supervisor, or Senior Caretaker.
The school is looking for someone with strong practical maintenance skills, a good understanding of health and safety legislation, and the ability to manage contractors and prioritise a varied workload. Excellent organisational skills and a proactive approach are essential.

£38,000–£45,000 per annum (depending on experience)
