A successful Secondary School in Sheffield is seeking an experienced and analytical Data Manager to join its leadership support team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, identifying trends and providing accurate information that supports teaching, learning and whole-school improvement.
Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, Heads of Department and the Examinations Officer, you will oversee the school's Management Information System, ensuring all pupil data is accurate, secure and easily accessible. Your work will directly support strategic decision-making while helping staff monitor student progress and attainment effectively.

Data Team
The Data Team provides reliable information that supports leaders, teachers and governors in making informed decisions.
Responsibilities
Managing the school's Management Information System (MIS).
Maintaining accurate pupil records.
Producing attendance, attainment and progress reports.
Analysing assessment data and identifying trends.
Preparing reports for Senior Leadership and Governors.
Managing statutory data returns and school census submissions.
Supporting examination data processes.
Producing intervention reports for departments.
Developing reporting dashboards.
Ensuring GDPR compliance and data security.
Supporting staff with data queries.
Monitoring whole-school performance indicators.
Assisting with timetable and curriculum data where required.
Supporting school improvement planning.
Liaising with external agencies when necessary.
Requirements
Previous Data Manager or school data experience.
Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
Experience using school MIS systems.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Excellent organisational abilities.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Excellent communication skills.
Commitment to confidentiality and safeguarding.
Ability to work collaboratively across the school.
