A successful Secondary School in Liverpool is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and creative Art Technician to join its flourishing Art department. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for creativity who enjoys supporting practical lessons and helping students develop their artistic skills in an inspiring environment.
Working closely with the Head of Art and teaching staff, you will prepare materials, maintain specialist equipment and ensure the department is organised and ready for daily lessons. Your support will allow teachers to deliver engaging practical sessions while providing students with access to high-quality resources and facilities.

The Art Department provides students with opportunities to explore a wide range of artistic disciplines while developing technical skills, creativity and confidence.
Responsibilities
Preparing materials and equipment for practical Art lessons.
Maintaining studios and preparation areas.
Organising departmental stock and supplies.
Preparing specialist equipment for demonstrations.
Supporting teachers during practical sessions.
Displaying students' artwork throughout the school.
Assisting with GCSE coursework preparation.
Supporting exhibitions and open evenings.
Maintaining inventories of equipment and materials.
Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed.
Cleaning and maintaining specialist equipment.
Preparing clay, paints and printing materials.
Supporting extracurricular Art clubs.
Keeping storage areas organised.
Assisting with departmental administration where required.
Requirements
Previous experience within an Art department or creative environment is desirable.
Good practical artistic skills.
Excellent organisational abilities.
Strong attention to detail.
Knowledge of health and safety within practical classrooms.
