About the Role
The successful candidate will teach Mathematics across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging and challenging lessons that develop students' mathematical reasoning, confidence, and problem-solving skills.
Students follow a broad curriculum covering algebra, geometry, statistics, probability, mechanics, and calculus. You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Mathematics examinations while encouraging resilience, logical thinking, and a positive attitude towards learning.
You will also contribute to the wider life of the department through maths clubs, intervention programmes, enrichment activities, UK Mathematics Trust competitions, and STEM initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Mathematics across KS3, KS4, and KS5

Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Mathematics examinations
Develop students' reasoning, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Candidate Requirements
Essential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level
Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently
Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Desirable
Experience teaching A-Level or Further Mathematics
Experience supporting maths competitions or enrichment programmes
Ability to stretch and support students of all abilities
A proven track record of delivering excellent student outcomes
