Our client is seeking an inspiring and academically driven Art & Design Teacher to join their social and creative sciences division from September. This is a full-time, permanent position, ideal for an experienced practitioner or an outstanding graduate teacher with a passion for drawing foundations, printmaking, print design, and digital media.

The successful candidate will deliver a dynamic curriculum across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5 (including GCSE and A-Level Art and Design specification pathways). You will focus on developing students' individual creative voices, keeping precise and systematic coursework logs, managing studio material stocks, and coordinating regional gallery excursions and end-of-year exhibitions.

The Art department benefits from bright, spacious high-ceilinged studios, dedicated exhibition spaces, an array of traditional tools (including a printing press), and a highly collaborative team of subject specialists.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification

  • A degree in Fine Art, Visual Communication, or a closely related creative discipline

  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality Art lessons up to GCSE level (A-Level experience is highly desirable)

  • Strong organizational capabilities, with a structured approach to studio cleanliness and safety
