Maths Teacher Role in an Outstanding Faith School

About the Role
The successful candidate will teach Mathematics across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging and challenging lessons that develop students' mathematical understanding, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
Students follow a broad and ambitious curriculum covering algebra, geometry, statistics, probability, mechanics, and calculus. You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Mathematics examinations while inspiring confidence, resilience, and a genuine enthusiasm for the subject.
You will also contribute to the wider life of the department through maths clubs, intervention programmes, UK Mathematics Trust competitions, enrichment activities, and STEM initiatives that promote mathematical thinking beyond the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Mathematics across KS3, KS4, and KS5
Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons
Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Mathematics examinations
Develop students' reasoning, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Assess progress and provide high-quality feedback
Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
Support maths enrichment, intervention, and extracurricular activities
Inspire students to develop confidence and a passion for Mathematics

Candidate Requirements
Essential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level
Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently
Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Desirable
Experience teaching A-Level or Further Mathematics
Experience supporting maths competitions or enrichment programmes
Ability to challenge and inspire students of all abilities
A proven track record of delivering excellent student outcomes
