A forward-thinking Secondary School in Worcester is looking to appoint an experienced and analytical Data Manager to oversee the school's data systems and reporting processes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, identifying trends and supporting school improvement through accurate reporting and information management.
Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, Heads of Department and Examinations Officer, you will take responsibility for the school's Management Information System, ensuring data is accurate, accessible and used effectively to support teaching, learning and strategic decision-making.
This role would suit someone with exceptional organisational skills, excellent attention to detail and experience managing school data within a busy educational setting.

Data Team
The Data Team supports all aspects of school improvement by providing accurate, timely and meaningful information to staff across the school.
Responsibilities
Managing the school's Management Information System (MIS).
Producing progress, attainment and attendance reports.
Supporting assessment data collection and analysis.
Preparing reports for Senior Leadership and Governors.
Managing statutory data returns and school census submissions.
Maintaining the accuracy of pupil records.
Supporting examination data processes.
Developing reporting dashboards for school leaders.
Analysing performance trends across year groups.
Supporting intervention planning through data analysis.
Ensuring GDPR compliance and data security.
Training staff on data systems where appropriate.
Producing reports for inspections and external agencies.
Monitoring whole-school performance indicators.
Supporting strategic school improvement planning.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Data Manager or similar role.
Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
Experience using school MIS systems.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong organisational skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work to strict deadlines.
Excellent communication skills.
Commitment to confidentiality and safeguarding.
Ability to work collaboratively with staff across the school.
